Not Just a Bully…

I heard Mark Schlereth on the radio the other day talking about Richie Incognito and he opined that a winning team with strong leadership (I think he used Peyton Manning as an example) wouldn’t have tolerated Incognito’s behavior – those teams are all about winning and nothing Incognito did contributed to that goal. So, I thought I’d look up the records of Richie Incognito’s various NFL teams.

  • 6-10
  • 8-8
  • 3-13
  • 2-14
  • 1-11
  • 1-2
  • 7-9
  • 6-10
  • 7-9
  • 8-8

For a grand total of 49-94. On top of the all of the teams he’s been kicked off of, not to mention all of the penalties (here’s a little snippet of info I came across on Wikipedia, “…from 2006 to 2009, Incognito drew 38 penalties, including seven unnecessary roughness calls, more than any other player during that span.”) it points to someone with a real anger/attitude problem. But, if you’re still one who insists on defending him and that it’s “just part of the culture”, if you just can’t bring yourself to call him a bully…can you at least admit Richie Incognito is a loser?
